Growing up in Minden, Louisiana, I loved drinking tea with my great-grandmother in her cozy kitchen. I was only about six or seven, but I remember the ambiance and setting vividly. Those experiences shaped my entire life. As an adult, her spirit guided me to become a certified tea master. As a tea specialist, I make and sell Louisiana jazzy, Texas-certified sweet, organic specialty tea rouxs, loose and cold-brew!

#BrownTeensRead is a nonprofit, tax-exempt reading and writing literacy organization. As an English teacher, I've discovered an unfortunate truth: teens, especially brown teens, do not like to read. So they don't. As a result, they disrupt their chances of a quality future. As a solution, using book clubs and literary-themed social events, we help them rediscover a love of reading for school and pleasure!
I am an English teacher. Surprisingly, I have grown to love teaching after having always professed, "I'll never be a teacher!" Yet, here I am! With almost 20 (or more) family members in education, it was time for me to join the family business. Please take a moment and visit us online to learn more about what I do as a teacher, confidant and motivator for my students! Check out what they say about me below!
